But plenty of NFL fans have been left frustrated after coughing up big money for tickets to the MCG's historic NFL match between the LA Rams and San Francisco 49ers, only to find their 'front row' seats weren't quite as close to the action as they'd imagined. Even the higher level seats put fans a v-e-r-y long way from the action, with some joking they forgot to bring their telescopes. With general admission tickets selling out months ago, resale prices through Ticketmaster were starting from around $350 in recent weeks while the cheapest offical resale tickets available ahead of today's match cost around $500. Bad views or not, Melbourne still recorded the biggest NFL regular season crowd for nearly 15 years with 100,021 in attendance at the MCG. It was also the seventh-most attended NFL regular season game of all time and only 5,000 short of the all-time record set at Cowboys Stadium in 2009.
