Aaron Rodgers Rips Donald Trump And His Promises
Aaron Rodgers is known for his strong opinions, and he recently declared Donald Trump’s MAGA movement dead while also bringing up former President Barack Obama, COVID-19, and Colin Kaepernick.
Cam Heyward, who hosts Not Just Football, had a lengthy rant with Rodgers during his appearance.
“There is no MAGA movement; there is no ‘Make America Great Again’ movement because the guy you elected hasn’t done any of his campaign promises,” he said, before later criticizing Obama and his failed promises. “When Obama was president, everybody’s like, ‘Oh, there’s gonna be hope and change for a better world.’ Has anything in the Black community gotten significantly better? Rodgers also suggested politics are just a “crazy set-up.” He used the quote: “If voting actually mattered, you wouldn’t be allowed to do it.”
The Steelers quarterback believes we should be skeptical of what politicians say. As a result of his opinion on the COVID-19 vaccine, he believes he’ll get flak from non-NFC North fans who don’t like him.
In the end, Rodgers will keep speaking his own truth. The episode began with Rodgers being asked about being a polarizing figure in the NFL. At the time, he even praised Kaepernick for protesting the National Anthem, calling him “one of the 64 best quarterbacks in the league”.
