Former Los Angeles Rams superstar Aaron Donald is locked in a court battle with his ex-partner, Jaelynn Blakey, over the custody of their two children. The legal fallout has now resulted in the exclusive release of private court documents detailing a bitter dispute over a dangerous family pet. Leaked filings reveal that the family’s French bulldog has a history of repeatedly biting the children and their niece. While Blakey fights to maintain the pet in the household, Donald is demanding strict protective measures to safeguard his kids from future harm. Leaked court records expose heated text exchanges between Aaron Donald and ex Court documents obtained by TMZ revealed that Donald filed papers in late July seeking temporary sole physical custody of his two children with ex-girlfriend Jaelynn Blakey. Donald alleged in his filing that Blakey’s French bulldog had bitten his 13-year-old daughter Jaeda near the mouth in September 2023, later bit Blakey’s niece, and then bit his 10-year-old son Aaron Jr. in the face in March 2026. He said he included photographs of the injuries as evidence and claimed Blakey had agreed to remove the dog after each incident, only for the pet to quietly return to her Los Angeles home. The situation came to a head on June 26, 2026, when Donald texted Blakey directly. “Is that dog back in that house?” he wrote. Rather than answering, Blakey redirected the conversation to a missed custody visit. Donald pressed the issue. “But on another note don’t feel comfortable with kids in that house with that dog,” he said. “It bit 3 people in the face and 2 of those people was Jaeda and AJ. You said you got rid of the dog and it keep popping back up, not really understanding the disconnect with that.” He added: “There’s multiple different places you can put the dog. It’s just not stable having that dog around no kids because it got a history of biting. It already happened multiple times.” Blakey pushed back in a July 2 email to Donald’s legal team. She denied ever instructing the children to hide the dog from their father and disputed that the animal was dangerous. “Why would I tell my children that when the dog moves freely and talks with their father daily at my home, and he can see for himself?” she wrote. “You have no proof of that, so let’s not even start making accusations. I would never tell them that. I told Mr. Donald at the time of the incident the dog was removed and he was. Your claims are ridiculous.” Blakey also denied she had ever agreed to permanently remove the dog, saying the children were not afraid of it. In her court declaration she said Donald was “taking away the family pet who lived with us since 10 weeks old” and described the dog as her emotional support animal, adding that forcing its removal would devastate her youngest daughter. Custody dispute reaches resolution Donald alleged in his filing that his children told him Blakey had instructed them not to “run their mouths” about the dog being back in the house. He asked the court for sole physical custody of both kids until the dog was permanently removed from the home. The dispute did not drag on indefinitely. A stipulation filed August 3 showed Blakey agreed to remove the dog, and the former couple returned to their previous co-parenting arrangement. Donald and Blakey never married. They dated in high school before breaking up in 2016, and have co-parented Jaeda and Aaron Jr. since then. Donald confirmed his NFL comeback shortly after the filing landed, signing with the Rams to play alongside newly acquired Myles Garrett. The legal chapter appeared to close just as his return to the field was getting started.
