WWE could have several surprises in store for AAA TripleMania 34, with the upcoming event expected to feature some unexpected developments. WWE announced its acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide on April 19, 2025, with the deal officially closing on August 1, 2025. Since the acquisition, WWE has co-produced several AAA events as the two promotions have continued to work together. TripleMania 34 will be the next major AAA event to be co-produced by WWE. The two-night event will begin September 11 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas before concluding on September 13 in Mexico City. WWE Reportedly Has ‘Unexpected Elements’ In Store For TripleMania 34 According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE has a few “unexpected elements in store for the shows,” particularly on night two of AAA TripleMania 34. One potential surprise could involve Corey Graves, who recently revealed that he has returned to training and is considering an in-ring comeback. During an interview with Mark Hoke, Graves revealed that he has been training again and even identified AAA as a promotion where a comeback “might be fun.” Graves retired from in-ring competition in December 2014 because of concussion issues. His last match came earlier that year at WrestleMania Axxess against Troy McClain, while his final televised bout took place on the April 24, 2014, episode of WWE NXT. Corey Graves Names AAA As Possible Destination For Wrestling Return Graves explained that he became “a little stagnant” after an opportunity to return disappeared. However, he has spent several months back in the gym to see how his body responds. “I’m proud to report that I’ve been back in the gym for the past several months just to see how I feel,” Graves explained. That renewed training has led Graves to consider AAA as a potential destination. He pointed to his younger brother, Sam Adonis, and the success he has enjoyed in the Mexican promotion. “AAA might be fun for me to step foot into that. My younger brother has had a great deal of success in AAA over the years. Maybe I’ll follow in his footsteps. That could be kind of fun. Never say never,” Graves said.
