Volleyball Heads to Charlotte for Queen City Classic 9/10/2026 3:00:00 PM | Volleyball The Mocs continue their non-conference slate with three matches at Queens (N.C.) CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Sitting at 3-3 on the season, Chattanooga continues its non-conference slate in Charlotte at the Queen City Classic. Chattanooga is scheduled to take on Queens (N.C.) and Presbyterian on Friday before ending the weekend with a match against Buffalo on Saturday. This is the second of three road weekends the Mocs have before starting SoCon play at home against Wofford on Sept. 25. Chattanooga's full schedule of games with links are copied below. Only UTC's Match against Queens Friday morning will be streamed. All matches though will have live stats available to follow along with. Against Presbyterian, Chattanooga is 2-0 all-time, defeating the Blue Hose in 2022 in the last meeting between the two schools. The match between Chattanooga and Buffalo will be the first meeting between the two programs. Chattanooga's Last Time Out The Mocs competed in the Noona Kennard Invitational where it went 2-1 with wins over UT Martin (3-0) and Jackson State (3-2). Their lone loss of the weekend came to North Alabama, who is still undefeated on the year. Addison Walker led Chattanooga in the win against Jackson State with a career-high 21 kills. In the sweep of UT Martin, Kynli Kirkendoll anchored UTC's offense with a season-high 11 kills. She coupled that with a season-high seven total blocks and eight digs in the win vs. Jackson State, earning her self a spot on the All-Tournament Team. UTC Stats Jordin Glass leads the Mocs offensively with 58 kills (2.64 per set) at middle blocker. The Denver, North Carolina native, having grown up just down the road from Charlotte will have the chance to play close to home this weekend. Chattanooga is hitting .218 as a team so far, which is a better mark than all three teams it is playing this weekend. Setting up the attack for Chattanooga is Ashley Reynolds with 178 assists (8.09 per set). Defensively, Caiti Barthel leads the Blue and Gold and ranks second in the league in digs per set, averaging 4.86. She ranks third in total digs with 107 to her name. At the net, Kirkendoll leads the team in total blocks with 19.0. Scouting Queens The Royals are on the hunt for their first win of the year, losing six in a row to begin the 2026 season. In their last outing, a home match against USC Upstate on Wednesday, they fell in five sets in a hard-fought match, one of two five-set defeats they have this season. Emma Norris has been Queens' go-to attacker this season with 72 kills (3 per set), including 21 kills against USC Upstate. As a team, the Royals have a hitting percentage of .160 while opponents are hitting it at a rate of .273. On the defensive side, Ella Hale with 61 digs (2.77 per set) and Tilley Collins with 57 digs (2.38 per set) have been bright spots for Queens. Scouting Presbyterian Presbyterian comes to Charlotte with a 5-3 record, with all of their wins coming on the road or on a neutral court. Two of Presbyterian's three losses have come against SoCon opposition as it fell to both Wofford and Furman in four sets. The Blue Hose owns wins over Queens, North Carolina A&T, West Georgia, Northwestern State, and Grambling State. With 77 kills (3.08 per set), Courtney Williams leads the Blue Hose offensively out of the outside hitter position. Right behind her is another outside hitter, Emma McHatten, with 67 kills (2.58 per set). Presbyterian's setter Anisa Dorlouis leads the Big South in assists with 235 (7.83 per set). Presbyterian also has the reigning Big South Defensive Player of the Week on their roster in Celimar Hoyos, who has 148 digs (4.93 per set) to her name this season. Scouting Buffalo With a record of 5-1, Buffalo has had a strong start to the 2026 season, and won four in a row going into this weekend's matches. Most recently, the Bulls went 3-0 at the Buffalo/Canisius Invitational defeating Canisius, UMBC, and Dartmouth. Buffalo's outside hitters Hailey Campagna (3.30 per set) and Manoela Forlin (3.29 per set) have been go-to attackers so far this year. Campagna has had 10 or more kills in all six matches so far while Forlin has done it in four matches. Forlin also impacts the game defensively, leading Buffalo in digs per set at 2.43. The Bulls' setter Maddie Mitchell is among the top leaders in the MAC in assists with 213 (8.52 per set).
