Regina Tarin isn’t worried about JJ Aldrich having more experience. She’s young, hungry and sees Noche UFC as the perfect chance to show she belongs while representing Mexico on Saturday night.
“I like my opponent because she have a lot of experience and I like it. I’m younger girl, I have hunger you know? She has experience, but this fight is an opportunity for me to start in the top of the UFC,” Tarin told Cageside Press among other reporters on Wednesday.
“I like my opponent.”
Getting the chance to fight at Noche UFC means a little more to Tarin with Mexico behind her. She’s living the dream she worked for, and getting to represent her country on that stage only adds to it.
“To tell you the truth, I’m very excited and motivated and ready to go. I’m proud of being here, living my dream, and I think it’s more pride than anything,” she said.
“Excited to represent Mexico, my country, my flag, in the UFC cage.”
For Tarin, fighting at Noche UFC is also a chance to represent Mexico and show exactly what she brings to the cage. She wants to put on a show, get her hand raised and make her people proud while doing it.
“I love putting on a show in the cage, I love what I do, I enjoy it. So I only visualize getting my hand raised in victory, when I see my family, and the people enjoying the show,” she said.
“I have that desire to show what Mexicans are made of. I’m proud of seeing all of my people getting ahead in life, and making sacrifices to show who we are.”
“I love hearing people cheer me on. It motivates me hearing them all so I can only imagine that moment. I get goosebumps thinking about it! I’m really going to enjoy the journey,” said Tarin.
“I enjoy each fight. I enjoyed my walkout during my debut, and I know this time won’t be an exception.”
