Roma have officially sent Angelino to Deportivo La Coruna on loan with an option to buy that is reportedly worth €2.5m. The left-back was not part of coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s plans, having barely featured last season due to illness. He passed the medical tests today and Roma announced the transfer with a formal statement, confirming it is a loan with option to buy at the end of the season. According to Sky Sport Italia and more, the loan is free, with the purchase option set at €2.5m. Angelino illness ended Roma career The 29-year-old had come to Roma initially on loan from RB Leipzig in January 2024, then made it permanent six months later at a cost of €5.4m. Angelino scored four goals in 80 competitive matches for the club, but was struck down by a serious form of asthmatic bronchitis in October 2025. It made it very difficult for him to train regularly, as it affected his breathing, so he made only nine appearances last season.
