Aston Villa are using Red Bull Salzburg’s home dressing room for tonight’s UEFA Super Cup game against Paris Saint-Germain. It has irked PSG manager Luis Enrique and senior PSG officials, according to The Telegraph. The Villans are hoping to win the match, played between the Europa League winners and Champions League winners. PSG complained to UEFA about the facilities on Monday, insisting they should have an equal-sized dressing room to their Premier League opponents. Villa’s space is bigger, and the French club have been offered an extra room after complaining that their dressing room at the Red Bull Arena was too small. Unai Emery has never won the Super Cup as a manager, and he will be without Ezri Konsa, Ollie Watkins and Emiliano Martinez for the game. The Villa trio were granted extra leave after reaching the semi-finals of the World Cup. PSG will also be without several of their stars as France also reached the semi-finals of the competition. Emery will hope to get the better of his former employees, while Enrique wants to defend last year’s victory, when they pipped Tottenham Hotspur to the cup. Both clubs will have much-changed matchday squads for the game, but plenty is at stake in terms of bragging rights. Villa return to action on Saturday with a friendly against Borussia Monchengladbach before their opening Premier League game of 2026-27 against Brighton & Hove Albion next weekend.
