Hull City transfer news LIVE: Leon Bailey twist, Joe Gelhardt bid, deal 'agreed'
Latest Hull City transfer news with updates on Leon Bailey, Joe Gelhardt, Zan Vipotnik, Lucas Herrington, Nobel Mendy, Kevin Danois, and much more
Hull City have less than three weeks to complete their summer business. Sergej Jakirovic's side are preparing for their first Premier League season in a decade but there is still work to be done in the transfer window.
The Tigers, who beat Middlesbrough in last season's Championship play-off final to seal their return to the top flight, have signed seven players so far this summer, spending a little more than £30million in the process.
Jack Butland, Matt Targett, Oscar Zambrano, Hidemasa Morita, Konstantinos Tzolakis, Jens Hjertø-Dahl and Elliot Stroud have arrived through the MKM Stadium doors. However, there is a feeling that Hull are nowhere near finished and want to bring in at least five more players before the September 1 deadline.
A deal to sign Rayo Vallecano defender Nobel Mendy has been agreed but the player is awaiting his UK Visa it can be announced, while Lucas Herrington's move from Colorado Rapids could be announced this morning. Leon Bailey, Joe Gelhardt and Zan Vipotnik are among the others eyed by the Tigers.

Hull City want to agree a permanent deal with Leeds United for striker Joe Gelhardt, and reunite him with the club he helped win promotion to the Premier League back in May.
Gelhardt was on the verge of joining Birmingham City, but the Tigers are in discussions with their Premier League rivals to sign their former loan favourite.
The forward, who bagged 15 goals for City last season, including the crucial second in the 2-0 play-off semi-final win at Millwall, would sign a long-term contract at the MKM Stadium.
City had held lengthy internal discussions throughout the summer about whether to pursue a move for the 24-year-old Liverpudlian, and it was felt they could make a move later in the window, after they’d secured other targets; however, they've now decided to try and get it wrapped up before he goes elsewhere.
Hull City have pulled the plug on their protracted deal to sign Aston Villa's Leon Bailey after becoming increasingly frustrated with how the transfer has progressed.
City were expecting the Jamaican international to arrive on Monday with the deal ready to be announced, but issues are understood to have arisen once again, which do not involve the Tigers.
Sources have indicated that City have become increasingly frustrated with the length of time the move has taken and the moving of goalposts. As a consequence, they have now pulled out.
At this stage, it's unlikely the move can be resurrected, with the Tigers moving on to other players and their respective camps keen to be part of their Premier League campaign.
