After facing Paris Saint-Germain in Salzburg for the UEFA Super Cup, Villa will round off their pre-season preparations against Borussia Mönchengladbach in Germany on Saturday, August 15. Teenagers George Hemmings and Brian Madjo were Villa's goalscorers and probably their two standout performers on the night. Real Sociedad add a fourth. Gorka Carrera finished past James Wright inside the box. Brian Madjo! He deserves it too - been unplayable at the top of the pitch. He finishes inside the box following some tidy work from Emi Buendia. Ander Barrenetxea's free-kick takes a big deflection, allowing Orri Oskarsson to score at the back post. Villa began the second half with only 10 men after Luka Lynch missed the restart while putting on his shin pads next to Unai Emery on the touchline. He joined the action a couple of minutes into the half. Marco Bizot, Pau Torres, Luka Lynch and Lamare Bogarde replcae James Wright, Tyrone Mings, Modou Cisse and George Hemmings for the start of the second half. Villa are level with Sociedad at the break. George Hemmings - who was brilliant in the first half - opened the scoring, before Carlos Soler equalised. Brian Madjo has bullied up front, with Matty Cash, Joao Gomes and Modou Cisse all doing well too. Unai Emery becomes visibly animated when Modou Cisse opts for a long ball instead of building from the back. The young centre-back immediately raises a hand in acknowledgement as soon as he hears Emery's telling-off. Carlos Soler equalises for Real Sociedad. A bit of a mix-up between Tyrone Mings and Marco Bizot allowed the former West Ham midfielder to score after Villa's 'keeper made an initial save. Yangel Herrera just flashed the ball wide of the far post after Villa lost it on their own throw-in, which actually came about when Bizot clipped the ball off the pitch.
