FLINT GOING FOR CLRC GLORY GLASGOW No.1 Leon Flint is hoping inside track knowledge will play a part in Saturday’s Championship League Riders’ Championship at Sheffield. The major event returns to its spiritual home this season and whilst that makes it a neutral venue in terms of the nine Cab Direct Championship clubs, Flint and Scunthorpe’s Josh Pickering both race for Sheffield in the Premiership. Having enjoyed a breakthrough season at both levels as well as earning a GB call-up for the recent World Cup Final, Flint is looking forward to the test ahead in another high-profile event. He said: “It’s always nice going into a meeting at a track you know well and I’ve done plenty of laps around Sheffield now. “Hopefully I can use that experience to my advantage, but it’s still going to be a tough meeting and I’ll need to be on it from the start. “It’s a really strong line up, so I’m just going there to enjoy it and give it everything.”
