Who will supply Brighton's pies and sausage rolls at the Amex Stadium this season?
Another tasty new signing for Brighton and Hove Albion
The matchday pie is often a major part of the football stadium experience.
Piglet's Pantry supplied the pies and sausage rolls at the Amex Stadium for the past 15 years but the previous season was their last.
Players, managers and coaches have been and gone over the last decade-and-a-half... and the Piglet's pie had outlasted them all.
The company proudly supplied Albion supporters with their matchday pastries and helped fuel their rise from League One, to the Premier League and into Europe.
Unfortunately Piglet's announced this week that the expense of supplying to the Amex Stadium has reached unsustainable levels and reluctantly - after 15-years - stepped away.
A tasty new signing
So who will fill the void for the 2026-27 season? They are certainly big pie cases to fill and Sussex-based manufacturer Higgidy have taken on the challenge.
A report in Food manufacture stated: "The fresh food specialist has secured a contract with the foodservice firm Sodexo, Brighton and Hove Albion's culinary partner, which will see it supply matchday pies at the American Express Stadium from August 2026.
"Higgidy's contract will see it supply individual 200g pies in four flavours, as well as a 200g sausage roll, for all of the Premier League side's home matchdays next season.”
Brighton’s final pre-season friendly is at the Amex Stadium this Saturday as they take on Italian side Bologna. Their first Premier League match of the 2026-27 season is against Aston Villa at the Amex on August 23.
