Then the narrative starts to wonder to the manager being the reason for the expenditure not working, and yet, they’re the ones that he would have given an OK for. It’s difficult,” Keith Wyness said on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast (h/t Football Insider). “If they don’t score in the next two games, then you start to feel the pressure will build. He’s got a tricky game this weekend with Everton away at Spurs, who are starting to feel confident. “If Everton get the first goal, the fans in the stadium will once again be putting the pressure on, as they did at the end of last season. “They have got to stick with De Zerbi until at least the end of the second international window, which is mid-November, but if things aren’t picking up by then, the pressure to be sacked will be on.” Tottenham will give De Zerbi time Spurs have shown they believe in De Zerbi’s project, given the spending that happened in the summer. A new-look team is going to take time to gel and develop chemistry on the pitch, and we saw some good things in the 0-0 draw with Forest.
