Jose Delgado is expecting a highlight-reel finish at Noche UFC. Delgado stepped up on short notice to headline Noche UFC on Saturday against Jean Silva. Heading into the fight, Delgado is a +310 underdog while the Brazilian is a -440 favorite on FanDuel. Delgado took the fight after Yair Rodriguez was forced to withdraw, as it’s a chance for him to enter the top-10 at featherweight. Although Delgado is taking it on short notice and is a big underdog, he has full confidence going into the fight. Not only does he expect to win, but he expects to finish Silva in spectacular fashion. “Everything that goes through my mind is war,” Delgado said to UFC on Paramount. “Every single thought I have at this point is how to take Jean Silva out in the most spectacular ways and I love it. I see it so damn clearly. I used to have to close my eyes to be able to see these things. I’m telling you, I’m able to keep them open and see right now. “I love the danger, I love the butterflies. I’m not going to sit here and lie, there’s butterflies in my stomach but I promise you Sept. 12 they will be in formation.” Jose Delgado not fazed by Jean Silva If Delgado does finish Silva at Noche UFC, it would be an upset and cement him as a title contender. He also said he isn’t fazed by Silva’s power and finishing ability, as he has confidence in his skillset. His name is Jean, he’s just a man and he bleeds like every other man,” Delgado said. “I like that he brings in the antics, I like that he makes it a show. I like that he makes this bigger than what it is. But, at the end of the day, it’s two guys going out there and trying to take what they believe is theirs. I’m going out there to take what I believe is mine and that’s legacy, that’s greatness.” Silva is 17-3 and coming off a win over Arnold Allen, as his lone loss in the UFC was to Diego Lopes. Yet, Delgado, who’s just 4-1 in the UFC, believes he will prove he’s on that level come Saturday. Do you think Jose Delgado will beat Jean Silva at Noche UFC? This article appeared first on BJPENN.COM
