Valencia have been in contact with Leeds United since June regarding a new deal for Largie Ramazani following his successful loan spell at the Spanish club last season.
Marca report that Valencia’s interest in the 25-year-old ‘is nothing new’ and could now intensify after he was left out of Leeds’ pre-season tour of America.
Talks with Leeds
Sport Witness covered a report earlier today on how Largie Ramazani had been left out of Leeds’ pre-season plans as he’s not in Daniel Farke’s plans.
Marca report that it has been known for weeks that Leeds are open to a permanent sale. They do not believe that the player fits into their project in the Premier League.
Ramazani wants to return to the Mestalla after last season’s loan spell. He came a key figure in the Spanish team’s survival last year, contributing crucial goals and performances, particularly in the second half of the season.
Valencia have been trying to work out a deal for a while. Marca report that, as early as June, the club’s CEO, Ron Gourlay, held talks to ascertain the terms of a potential deal and the price Leeds would demand to part ways with the players. He used a trip to England to gauge Leeds’ expectations firsthand.

Financial hurdles
The main hurdle remains financial. Leeds are reportedly seeking to recoup a significant portion of the investment they made in 2024.
They paid €12m for the forward at that point. Valencia can’t offer those kinds of figures, with finances limited.
They are seeking more affordable options. A loan deal with a non-mandatory purchase clause would be the ideal solution for them.
Whether Leeds would sanction such a deal, is unclear. They clearly don’t want Ramazani, his absence from pre-season demonstrates as much.
But they also don’t’ want to shortchange themselves in any deal either. More talks are needed to work out a solution.
