Three Chelsea Academy graduates started as England Women Under-20s recorded a 5-1 victory over Tanzania at the Under-20 World Cup in Poland on Tuesday evening. Following a 1-1 draw with Canada in their opening match of the tournament, England Under-20s head coach Lydia Bedford selected Chelsea's Katie Cox, Vera Jones and Chloe Sarwie to start against Tanzania, with Lola Brown named among the substitutes. The young Lionesses produced a dominant display, with Aston Villa's Rachel Maltby scoring a first-half hat-trick that included two penalties and Ipswich Town's Princess Ademiluyi also on target before the break. Brown was introduced at half-time and Jessie Gale, currently on loan at Newcastle United from Arsenal, added a fifth for England in the second period. Despite a string of good saves from Cox, there would be no clean sheet as Tanzania's Jamila Mnunduka grabbed a consolation goal. England currently sit in second place in Group B and will face Brazil on Friday 11 September at 2pm.
