Reigning national champion Aggie volleyball team holds maroon & white scrimmage COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) — Texas A&M’s volleyball team gave fans their first look at the roster Tuesday evening in an intrasquad scrimmage, 10 days before the Aggies open regular-season play as defending national champions. The team features eight newcomers among a 16-player roster. The Maroon team won the scrimmage 3-1. On Monday, outside hitter Kyndal Stowers said she is approaching the season with the mindset that this is both a continuation of last year and a fresh start. “There is no ceiling in the game of volleyball. You can always get better. So we kind of just pick up where we left off last season individually, also as a team, just growing off of what we’ve done to continue to get better. But also it is a brand new team. And so kind of restarting and flipping the page with that, with just the chemistry, getting along with each girl, building new relationships,” Stowers said. Texas A&M has one exhibition game remaining. The Aggies travel to Baylor on Aug. 16 before opening the regular season in Milwaukee against Louisville on Aug. 21. Copyright 2026 KBTX.
