The Los Angeles Rams‘ season opener is rapidly approaching. On Thursday, the Super Bowl favorites kick off their season in Melbourne, Australia, against the San Francisco 49ers. At several points leading up to the game, there have been some serious questions about Puka Nacua’s availability for Week 1. Nacua has been dealing with a psoas injury that dates back to August. He’s not at 100%, yet signs suggest he’ll suit up in the Rams’ season opener. An even more concerning situation took place much earlier in the offseason when Nacua allegedly bit a woman and later made an antisemitic comment, perhaps unknowingly. These situations suggested a potential suspension could be in the works. ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter went on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Monday and indicated that “there’s a real possibility that Puka” avoids suspension this year. That’s great news for a Rams offense that funnels through their First-Team All-Pro receiver who led the NFL with 129 receptions last season.
