Shiloh Hill’s time away from WWE NXT appears to be much shorter than expected. Just weeks after suffering a facial fracture, the rising star has shared an encouraging health update. Moreover, he is already scheduled to return to television on the Aug. 18 episode of NXT. The quick turnaround comes after Hill initially feared he could miss significant time. Instead, his recovery has accelerated, setting the stage for a fast return to in-ring competition. Shiloh Hill shares positive injury update before NXT return Hill revealed on X that his latest medical checkup brought unexpectedly good news. After previously disclosing that he had fractured part of his maxilla, he said his doctor expressed surprise at how quickly the injury had healed. “I’ve actually got some really good news,” Hill said. “He’s actually never seen someone’s bones start to heal so fast.” The NXT star added that the trapped air shown on his MRI had disappeared and that the swelling had gone down faster than his doctor had seen in three decades of practice. As a result, he was told he could return much sooner than originally expected, provided the pain remained manageable. Hill also confirmed he already competed at two recent NXT live events while wearing a protective mask. “I actually wrestled on both the live events this weekend… it definitely did feel like a broken bone but all things considering it actually wasn’t that bad,” he explained. While he isn’t sure when he’ll be medically cleared for television without restrictions, he teased fans by saying, “Soon the fog is coming — not the poison fog, the regular fog.” That return is now official. WWE has announced that Hill will face Jackson Drake on the Aug. 18 edition of NXT. The match carries major stakes beyond a singles victory. If Drake wins, he will earn an NXT North American Championship match against Myles Borne at Heatwave. In addition, Borne and Tavion Heights would also be forced to defend the NXT Tag Team Championships against Vanity Project’s Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes on the same event. With Hill back in action far sooner than expected, he’ll look to stop Vanity Project from cashing in on a golden opportunity.
