From there, she disappeared from the programming after her injury was deemed serious and that she needed time off to recover from her torn meniscus. As a result, she missed this year’s SummerSlam and an interim champion was crowned in Chelsea Green, who won the ladder match. The Eradicator then underwent a successful surgery on August 7th and is currently recuperating. The timeline of her in-ring return could potentially happen at early 2027, just in time for the WrestleMania 43 season. However, her rehabilitation might not take too long as she updated the fans on the status of her recovery from the knee injury. Rhea Ripley Is Slowly Walking Her Way To Her In-Ring Comeback In a post from X (fka Twitter), Rhea Ripley was seen in a gym along with her husband Buddy Matthews, who was working out and taking a selfie of his body. In the video, the lineal WWE Women’s champion was seen cautiously walking with her surgically repaired left knee from her torn meniscus operation and carrying a clutch for further support. Meanwhile, new Interim WWE Women’s champion Chelsea Green suffered a medical setback of her own when she broke her orbital bone during a tag team match against Fatal Influence last Friday on SmackDown. It seems that holding the aforementioned gold is a curse for whoever wins it. Still, it will be interesting to see if a unification match between the two will go down in the future.
