Packers Practice Roundup, August 11, 2026 Defense dominates another practice. Practice No. 11 is done after one hour and 32 minutes. Travel day tomorrow. Preseason opener at Pittsburgh on Thursday. Demovsky PARTICIPATION: Returned to practice: WR Matthew Golden (toe), WR Jayden Reed (foot), TE Josh Whyle (neck), CB Carrington Valentine (hamstring) but also working in rehab group. Not practicing: EDGE Dani Dennis-Sutton (illness), S Javon Bullard (foot), CB Domani Jackson (core), RB Josh Jacobs (groin). Not seeing: TE Drew Biber G Karsen Barnhart [Biber and Barnhart were released to make room for the newly signed camp bodies - TGR]. Newly signed: S Trey Dean S Tra Fluellen. Reserve lists: EDGE Micah Parsons (knee), TE Luke Musgrave (neck), LS Matt Orzech (calf), DT Jordon Reilly (Achilles). Hodkiewicz Rookie Dani Dennis-Sutton is out today with an illness. Drew Biber and Karsen Barnhart were released to make room for the two new DBs. 2) Two new DBs at practice: Trey Dean (35) and Tra Fluellen (48). Demovsky LaFleur on Josh Jacobs: "He's gonna be out for at least this week." 2) LS Cal Adomitis getting looked at now after special teams period. 3) Arron Mosby getting looked at by trainers after getting up slowly during punt period. 4) Another maintenance day for Aaron Banks too. 4)LaFleur says Domani Jackson had core muscle surgery in offseason. It kept him out of the spring. He's currently trying to work through some of it. "Hopefully he'll be out there shortly." Hodkiewicz Jonathan Baldwin passed through waivers and reverts to the Packers injured reserve. The Packers can reach an injury settlement with him in the next five days if they want to part ways with the player or they can leave him on IR, in which case they retain his rights. TGR Through 10 practices, Banks has been limited to individual drills by a knee injury. “No timetable,” on making his debut in team drills, he said on Monday. “We’re kind of just taking it one day at a time. That’s just kind of the nature of it. Kind of hard to set a timeline, but not concerned for Week 1 of the season.” Huber PERSONNEL: Starters Love Lloyd Moore - Melton - Watson Whyle Morgan - Burton - Rhyan - Monk - ZBB Sorrell - Stackhouse - Ford - LVN Zaire - Coop Cisse - Oladapo - Nixon Evan - X Andy Herman 1D starts same as yesterday w Nixon, Cisse & Oladapo nickel. Monk at RG, Burton at LG. TE Josh Whyle back at practice and starting in 11-on-11, makes a one-handed grab near sideline. Golden also doing team, catches a quick flare. Spofford Nixon and rookie Brandon Cisse played every snap with the starters on Tuesday. St-Juste and Jaylin Simpson were locked in with the No. 2s. 2) The No. 1 offensive line, as has been the case all week, consisted of left tackle Jordan Morgan, left guard Jager Burton, center Sean Rhyan, right guard Jacob Monk and right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele. 3) No. 2 defense, Benjamin St-Juste and Jaylin Simpson were the corners. In passing situations, Simpson moved into the slot and MJ Devonshire came in at corner. With Dani Dennis-Sutton out, Collin Oliver joined Brenton Cox on the edges. Huber Devonshire getting some outside reps with the 2s with Simpson kicking in to the slot. (Hadden also working with the 2s in the slot). Herman OFFENSE: Jordan Love just threw an over the shoulder dime to Moore but can’t bring it down vs Simpson. Drop in the bucket. Hodkiewicz Taylor to Neyor for nice TD. 2)Now Cooper breaks one up to Dabney on almost same spot. Love under plenty of pressure today. Coverage making him hold the ball. Spofford Nice job in pass pro by John Williams on Kelly. Williams currently at LT w the 2s. 2) Rough couple reps for TE Swinson. Now Kelly gets off his block for a run stuff. 3) Cox gets off a block from Swinson for a run stop at the Los. Herman DEFENSE: Hopper breaks up an underneath pass for Nixon, whom I don’t believe completed a football move. Now a good slant from Taylor to Neyor. 2) Edgerrin Cooper breaks up a pass for Dabney to end team 1 red zone. Hodkiewicz It was complete domination by Green Bay’s defense. 2) Hopper there instantly for the tackle. Hopper has made a lot of plays through 11 practices. 3) Taylor extended the play and fired the ball to Isaiah Neyor, but safety Mark Perry broke up the pass. 4) On third-and-goal from the 7, Jaylin Simpson had excellent coverage on Neyor, who couldn’t make a one-handed catch. Huber McCord nice rollout and throw to Yasmin. Tried to fit one down the field to Sheppard but McKinney was there to break it up. Just no running room for any of these running backs. Martinez stuffed at the line. 2) Love with a dime to Skyy Moore - put it right in his hands for an over the shoulder catch but Moore couldn’t hang on. Simpson had good coverage. Taylor throws one deep to Johnson but it hangs up and Evan Williams makes the easy pick. 3) Hopper tried to punch a ball out. Unsuccessful. Next play he tries again and this time forced a fumble on Nixon. Really nice play. Cox with the recovery. 4) LVN with a nice pressure vs ZBB - forces love to step up and sacked by Oladapo (LVN may have had the sack himself in a game). Herman SPECIAL TEAMS: Trey Smack FG period: 33: Good 41: Good (off right upright and thru) 43: Good 45: WR 45: Good Now 20 of 28 for camp. Demovsky Smack makes 4-5 FGs. Mis-hit and wide right from 45. 2) The punt-return rotation consisted of Skyy Moore, Jayden Reed, Matthew Golden, Will Sheppard, Jayden Nixon and Kisean Johnson. Huber MISCELLANEOUS: Matt LaFleur said as of right now Jordan Love will play Thursday night at Pittsburgh although he said he reserves the right to change his mind. Said there’s “value in getting mentally prepared to go play a game.” Said some starters may play longer than others. Demovsky “[Marshawn Lloyd] He’s special. He’s a special dude,” fellow running back Chris Brooks said. “He plays at a different speed. 2) If the season started today, he (Monk) would be the starting right guard for Week 1 at the Vikings. 3) Brooks has been a force. Brinson and Nazir Stackhouse are in the running for the biggest Year 2 jump. Campbell has been the surprise standout. Every player on the (Interior Defensive Line) depth chart might wind up on a 53-man roster this season. 4) [LVN] he’s sort of faded into the background after getting everyone excited during the shorts-and-helmets practices of May, June and July. 5) If the Packers are going to pressure the quarterback, especially in third-down passing situations, it’s going to be up to Gannon to create it. Huber [Bill Huber expresses many more opinions in this article summing up the winners and losers of the first 10 practices. TGR] Center Cody Mays suffered a significant wrist injury. That puts a big hole in the Lions offensive line. Bears Safety Cody Bryany also might miss most of all of the 2026 season with an injury. The Bears just gave the free agent a 3-year, $40M deal.
