Official: RB Leipzig's Peter Gulácsi completes Villarreal move | Photo: Maja Hitij/Getty Images. | RB Leipzig have announced this evening, Monday 3 August, that Peter Gulácsi has transferred to Villarreal CF. Although an official price was not made public, Leipzig will reportedly receive a transfer fee of €2million from the La Liga side. The Bundesliga club already has a replacement lined up in Örjan Nyland, who returns to Leipzig on a free transfer after his stint at Sevilla. Gulácsi first came to a then ambitious second division club Leipzig from RB Salzburg in the summer of 2015 as a 25-year-old. “After eleven years, this farewell is really not easy for me," said Gulácsi in an emotional farewell video posted on social media. "RB Leipzig was never just a club for me. Leipzig has become our second home, and the people here will always have a special place in my heart and ours.”
