Watch out, Flyweights; there is a new problem coming.
Highlights: Bilal Hasan smokes Mridul Saikia in just 45 seconds | Contender Series 10, Ep. 1
Former CFFC Flyweight champion Bilal Hasan more than likely punched his ticket to Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) when he smoked India’s Mridul Saikia in the first round tonight (Tues., Aug. 11, 2026) during Week 1 of season 10 of Contender Series inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
It was quick.
Hasan came out throwing side kicks before switching to a heavy low kick. Saikia then threw a lazy calf kick, and Hasan immediately made him pay, cracking him with a counter right hand that planted the Indian fighter.
Hasan pounced with follow-up punches, and the referee quickly jumped in to stop the fight at just 45 seconds.
Then, Hasan hit the moonwalk afterward, and it was slick.
Check out the finish below:
Hasan (9-0) has long been one of the absolute best Flyweight prospects in the world and should absolutely be receiving a UFC contract from UFC CEO Dana White.
The 25-year-old was the defending CFFC Flyweight champion before getting the call to Contender Series, where he defended his title three times. He also owns an 88 percent finish rate, with seven knockouts and one submission.
Hopefully, Hasan can turn around and make his UFC debut quickly.
Because after that performance, the Flyweight division officially has another problem.
