USD volleyball building momentum to take into tough Summit League play VERMILLION, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Three games, three days, three wins. South Dakota Volleyball opened up their home schedule with three consecutive wins over the weekend. Including rallying to beat Northern Iowa for the first time in program history. These non conference wins in tough battles are exactly the momentum Coach Leanne Williamson was hoping for so the team is ready for conference play later this month. Leanne Williamson, USD volleyball head coach said, “Again playing really good teams UNI and others on our schedule we are not going to win by being timid, we are not going to win by waiting for them to give us points. We have to go earn points so our message stayed pretty consistent I think there were times we did that better than others but those are the matches that we need to continue to be in and continue to learn from in order to be our best selves.” The Yotes will head to Colorado and Wyoming for three matchups.
