Quavo brought his music to WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6, 2026. He opened the show at State Farm Arena in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. The rapper had been advertised for a special performance. However, fans had to wait for the opening moments to see exactly what WWE had planned. The show began with the usual arena flyby and video package before Quavo made his way onto the stage with a shopping cart filled with loose cash. He then performed “Backwards,” an unreleased song from his upcoming album QRÖMELIFE. The performance lasted around a minute before WWE moved into the night’s first match. Quavo later headed backstage, where he met Lil Yachty and shared a hug with the rapper in the Gorilla Position. Quavo’s WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event performance could lead to more concerts Quavo’s appearance also ties into WWE’s reported plans to incorporate more live music into major events. Earlier in the week, Fightful Select reported that TKO viewed the Sunday Night’s Main Event performance as a test for potentially featuring more concerts on major WWE shows. According to the report, the long-term concept has been compared internally to halftime performances at major sporting events. The performance also continues Quavo’s established relationship with WWE. He first appeared at WWE Day 1 in January 2022 alongside Migos, whose “Straightenin” served as the event’s official theme. Quavo later appeared in promotional material for WWE Bad Blood in October 2024 and watched the event from ringside with Lil Yachty. In January 2025, he was also part of WWE’s Netflix-era launch, appearing in the crowd and joining Jey Uso for a “yeeting” segment. Beyond appearances, Quavo has expressed interest in training for an eventual WWE match. For now, though, his latest WWE contribution came through music, giving Sunday Night’s Main Event an opening act before the wrestling took over.
