The Rhineland club has reportedly reached a complete agreement with Slavia Prague for the transfer of Daiki Hashioka. A twelve-time Japanese international, Hashioka is initially expected to join Borussia Mönchengladbach on a one-year loan. The Foals appear to have secured an option to buy him permanently, with his medical examination is scheduled for today, Thursday. Hashioka's signing appears to be a reaction to the weeks-long absence of new right-back Yukhym Konoplya. The Ukrainian, who joined on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk in July, suffered a torn medial collateral ligament last week. Konoplya will likely miss the start of the Bundesliga season against RB Leipzig given the severity of the injury. Update (15:47 CET): Sky Germany understands that the option for Gladbach to buy Hashioka after the loan stands at €1-2million.
