LUKE IS TOP BRIT IN KRSKO
NORTHAMPTON and Scunthorpe youngster Luke Harrison was the highest British scorer in the European Under-19 Final at Krsko on Saturday, scoring a very creditable nine points.
Harrison was placed sixth overall, one position ahead of Cooper Rushen who scored eight, whilst Will Cairns ended the night on five.
The meeting was won by Polish racer Kevin Malkiewicz on a 15-point maximum with fellow countryman Bartosz Banbor second head of Denmark’s Patrick Hyjek.
Meanwhile GB duo Tom Brennan and Adam Ellis both performed strongly in the second round of the Speedway Euro Championship in Gustrow, as both won two races at the German venue.
Brennan totalled ten points which was enough to reach the Last Chance qualifier, whilst Ellis just missed out having scored eight in a tight meeting which was won by recent Oxford rider Maciej Janowski.
Current Oxford man Erik Riss won the second round of the Long Track World Championship in Morizes, France, and is now strong favourite to secure a third World title later this month.
