BEARS THROUGH FOR TROPHY DEFENCE HOLDERS Redcar are through to another BSN Series Final despite the efforts of semi-final opponents Berwick at Shielfield Park on Saturday. The Bandits won the second leg 55-34 but they had trailed by 27 points going to the meeting and were unable to make headway in the first half of the clash as they only led by two points on the night. A strong finish saw the hosts get somewhere near their target but second place for Charles Wright between Peter Kildemand and Nick Morris in Heat 13 was enough to make the Bears uncatchable on aggregate. Kildemand top scored for the Bandits with 13 points and Victor Palovaara notched 11+1, whilst Wright led the Redcar scoring on nine and they will now face Poole in a repeat of last year’s Final.
