The 22-year-old has been in sensational goalscoring form for Sirius, netting 15 goals in 15 appearances in the Swedish top flight since the season started in April, including four goals in one match last month. Those numbers have attracted significant interest in the former Rangers youngster with a dream move to La Liga now imminent amid reports that a €9.2m deal has been agreed between the two clubs. Marca state that Ure is scheduled to arrive in Spain on Monday or Tuesday to undergo a medical and finalise his move to Sevilla, where he will become the new No 9, on a five-year contract. The high-prolife transfer to the seven-time UEFA Cup/Europa League winners comes just three years after Ure opted to turn down a new Rangers contract due to a lack of first-team opportunities at Ibrox. He then spent 18 months in the Belgian second tier with Anderlecht's B side before joining Sirius in March 2025, where he has totalled 26 league goals across 45 games. If the deal is completed this week, Ure could make his Sevilla debut next Saturday when they host Rayo Vallecano in the La Liga season opener at the Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium. Scotland situation Born and raised in Glasgow and capped up to Under-19 level by Scotland, Ure has also had contact from Ukraine, for whom he qualifies on the grandparent rule. However, he recently admitted that his heart is set on representing Scotland amid calls for a first senior call-up. "I was watching Scotland in the World Cup and it was something that, of course, I would have loved to be involved in," he said. "My ambition is to play with Scotland one day but I have no stress for that situation. I feel like what I do at club level will give me the opportunities that I deserve. "I'm going to push to be involved with the men's first team but of course if it's Under-21s then there's no problem. I'm young and I feel like I will have a good international career."
