Monday 10th August, 2026 at 3:59pm Partick Thistle Women are excited to announce the signing of Abby Robinson ahead of the 2026/27 ScottishPower Women’s Premier League campaign. The forward comes to Petershill off the back of a long term tenure with Kilmarnock, where she spent over a decade, in which she cemented herself into the SWPL2’s history books as she became one of seven who penned the clubs’ first professional contracts in 2022. Her time in East Ayrshire came with undoubted success, as Abby proved herself to be a vital component to their league promotion hopes in last year’s campaign. Her efforts duly rewarded with a host of SWPL2 Player of the Month recognitions, Abby aided Killie through a competitive campaign, just narrowly missing automatic promotion with their eventual 2nd place finish. Her strength and reliability across the midfield and forward areas mixed with a keen eye for goal, she joins in an exciting window for Gary Holt’s side. After signing Robinson said: “It’s obviously a massive thing for me to leave Kilmarnock after so long there. It’s all i’ve really known in football but i want to test myself in the top league and I feel this is the perfect place to come and do that. “It’s a new enviroment which is exciting but one which I can bring my same game to, I like to attack and try and help the team with goals and assists and hopefully I can do that here” Manager Gary Holt said: “Abby is a player who I think can make a big impact to the side. She’s a player who is always on the move and a real thorn in the side of defences. “She has shown over a number of years at Kilmarnock that she can create chances and score goals out of nothing and that’s something we maybe missed last season.
