Ryan One in Rangers transfer talks as Gers 'renew' interest after Youssef Chermiti ACL injury bombshell
The 20-year-old caught the eye in a loan spell at Lincoln City last season, helping his team win promotion to the English Championship
Rangers have reportedly renewed their interest in Sheffield United striker Ryan One after Youssef Chermiti suffered a bombshell ACL injury.
The former Portugal youth international had to be stretchered off during Sunday's dramatic 2-1 loss to Hibs at Ibrox and earlier on Tuesday, the Light Blues revealed the 22-year-old is set to be out of action for a 'significant period of time'.
Boss Derek McInnes does have plenty of options in the striking department, with summer signing Lawrence Shankland, Ryan Naderi and Bojan Miovski all fit and available for selection.
However, it's claimed they are still keen on Scotland U21 forward One.
Sky Sports report that Gers have opened up talks with the Blades about bringing the 20-year-old back to his homeland.
Coatbridge-born One broke through at Hamilton Accies before winning a move down to Bramall Lane in September 2023.
He has scored just once in 23 matches for Sheffield United but enjoyed a decent loan spell at Lincoln City in the second half of last season, netting five times in 16 appearances to help them win promotion to England's second tier.
One has been capped for Scotland four times at U21 level and is the son of Paris-born ex striker Armand One, who played for severals clubs in the UK during his lengthy playing career.
