Rangers are on course to welcome PSV Eindhoven’s Couhaib Driouech to Ibrox as long as Derek McInnes’ side don’t face any setbacks.
Over the past few days, the Ibrox club have stepped up their efforts to sign him. The Eredivisie side rejected their initial offer and demand €7-8m.
Three days ago, we relayed news PSV increased the price further to €8-8.5m, after Celta Vigo made an attempt to hijack Rangers’ operation.
McInnes’ side didn’t give up and have returned with an improved bid. Earlier today, Sport Witness covered claims of Rangers offering around €8-8.5m. The forward is on the verge of leaving, and the La Liga side could launch a new attempt.
Rangers closing in on agreement
Journalist Rik Elfrink now claims PSV Eindhoven have all but finalised an agreement with the Ibrox club.
Eindhovens Dagblad cover more on Rangers’ ongoing advances to complete the player’s transfer this summer.
The Dutch club are nearing a preliminary agreement with Derek McInnes’ side for Couhaib Driouech.
Multiple clubs have come forward to sign him and he seems to be on his way to Rangers for around €8m.
Rangers need player’s approval
The Scottish club are yet to agree personal terms with Couhaib Driouech. Celta Vigo have shown willingness to table a convincing offer, but that hasn’t happened yet.
He has to decide whether to wait for the La Liga side or accept a move to Ibrox. ED are not clear whether Celta have given up on him.
Rangers ‘want to reward him handsomely’, meaning to tempt him with a convincing salary to join them.
Driouech has no future at PSV Eindhoven, and the latter have a preliminary agreement with Derek McInnes’ side. Rangers can wrap up this operation if he were to give a green light for this operation.
