Rangers aren’t giving up bringing PSV Eindhoven’s Couhaib Driouech to Ibrox as Derek McInnes’ side are working on signing him. Last week, the Scottish club made an initial offer and PSV, who turned it down, requested €7-8m. There was an expectation for Rangers to return with a new offer to please the Dutch club. Four days ago, Sport Witness covered claims from the Netherlands that the forward is open to joining McInnes’ side. They are also working on finding a quick agreement with his club, but that hasn’t happened yet. A day later, we relayed news of Celta Vigo’s attempt to snatch the 24-year-old from the Ibrox club’s clutches. This has seen PSV raise their demand to €8-8.5m. Rangers target on his way out The Dutchman has a contract until 2029 and his value, as per Transfermarkt, is €7.5m. However, Couhaib Driouech’s immediate future will be away from the Eredivisie side as Eindhovens Dagblad states he is ‘on the verge of being sold’ this summer. There’s no mention where he will move next or about Rangers, Celta Vigo or any other suitors. New attempt from Rangers Journalist Rik Elfrink covered this report, and he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share fresh updates on Derek McInnes’ side. According to Elfrink, Rangers continue to pursue the PSV Eindhoven man and have now raised their offer to €8-8.5m. The Dutch club reportedly requested this figure to sanction his sale. He adds there’s expectation Couhaib Driouech’s future will be soon, as the La Liga side are also keen on making a move. Rangers would have an easy route to sign him if Celta Vigo don’t react quickly by offering at least €8-8.5m. Last season, Driouech managed nine goals and eight assists from 40 matches.
