But following the Tigers’ promotion to the Premier League, the exciting wide man was not part of Sergej Jakirovic’s plans, with Hull subsequently sanctioning a departure just two years into his four-year deal. Pompey fended off reported interest from Championship rivals Charlton Athletic to land the Fratton favourite, who is likely to be available for this Saturday’s opener against QPR at Fratton Park.
