German Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim have announced that former Super Eagles invitee Gift Orban has completed a temporary move to Turkish Süper Lig newcomers Amed SFK. Orban has joined Amed SFK on a season-long loan deal, with the agreement including an option to buy, which could become a mandatory purchase under certain conditions. The Nigerian striker, who joined Hoffenheim in January 2025, scored four goals in 13 Bundesliga appearances for the German club. He spent last season on loan at Italian side Hellas Verona, where he registered seven goals and three assists in 28 league appearances. Despite his 10 goal contributions, Verona were unable to avoid relegation to the Serie B. Before joining Hoffenheim, Orban played for Stabæk, KAA Gent and Olympique Lyon. One of the standout moments of Orban's career came during a UEFA Europa Conference League match against İstanbul Başakşehir while he was at Gent.
