Leicester City complete move for Blackpool goalkeeper to form MK Dons reunion Franco Ravizzoli has made the move from Blackpool to Leicester City. Blackpool have confirmed the departure of back-up goalkeeper Franco Ravizzoli. The 29-year-old has completed a permanent move to Leicester City for an undisclosed fee, with the transfer seeing him link up with his former MK Dons boss Russell Martin. Ravizzoli’s Seasiders exit comes just after a year with the Seasiders, having made the switch to Bloomfield Road last summer after spending two seasons with Wycombe Wanderers. While he was initially signed to take part in an open fight to be Blackpool’s first-choice between the sticks, he mainly found himself as a back-up to Bailey Peacock-Farrell, making just eight appearances in total. Ian Evatt’s side are due to face Leicester at the end of September on the Fylde Coast and at the King Power Stadium in April, with the Foxes suffering a shock relegation to League One last term. Ravizzoli will be looking to push for a place at his new home, having signed a three-year deal with the East Midlands outfit. Discussing his move, he told LCFC.com: "I'm absolutely delighted to be here. As soon as I heard about the Club's interest, I just knew I couldn't turn the opportunity down. I feel ready for a new challenge and am really looking forward to working with [Russell Martin] again. “Leicester is a big Club with ambitions to be successful again, and I will give everything to help them on that journey. I’ve heard great things about the Club, the city and the fans so it feels like the right place for me to keep improving. I'm looking forward to working hard every day to challenge for a place in the team; I can’t wait to get going.”
