Leicester City have completed the signing of striker Admir Bristrić from NK Olimpija Ljubljana on a four-year deal. The Bosnian becomes Russell Martin's eighth signing of the summer after joining for an undisclosed fee. Reports in the striker's homeland have suggested that City will pay around €1.15m (£990k) plus add-ons worth €2m (£1.72m). Bristrić, 23, becomes City's first natural centre-forward signed this summer following Patson Daka and Jordan Ayew's exit. The Foxes have been searching for a new striker all summer, with Bobby De Cordova-Reid playing up-front in the first game of the season. The striker will join his new teammates in training at Seagrave this week and could make his debut against Notts County this weekend. Last month, City boss Martin revealed he wanted to strengthen his frontline as a priority in the transfer window. Since then, Leicester have added four attacking players to significantly bolster Martin's options. The transfer window has three weeks remaining and the priority is now expected to be a new centre-back. Ben Nelson's serious knee injury has left Martin with just three senior centre-backs, with Harry Souttar and Wout Faes also facing uncertain futures. "It probably means that we will be more active in that position in the transfer market than we would have been," Martin said when discussing Nelson's injury. "We’ll have to wait and see who’s still here." He added: “It has to be the right player. We’re not going to get someone because they’re left-footed if he’s not right. If we can get the right profile and he’s left-footed, beautiful. If not, then we’ll make do in the way that we have to. "I think we’re all comfortable with that. I think it was a position that we were going to have to be reactive in and now we’re going to have to be a bit more proactive. "It’s a huge blow for us [Nelson], I really thought he was going to be a huge player for us this season. So now we have to be prepared to replace that.”
