The England youth international, who celebrated his 18th birthday last month, appeared as a second-half substitute in Leicester’s 1-0 win over Northampton Town in the first round of the Carabao Cup on Saturday afternoon, making his 21st senior appearance for the club. Having already lost fellow teenager Jeremy Monga this summer, Leicester now look set to lose Page, with talks between the club and United described as ‘ongoing’. Arsenal and Aston Villa have also been linked with his signature in recent weeks. Joining Leicester at Under-9 level, Page made his senior debut for the club in August last year, appearing as a substitute in the first round of the Carabao Cup against Huddersfield Town. He signed his first professional contract at the King Power Stadium last September, meaning the Red Devils must pay a transfer fee to lure him to Old Trafford. Notts ‘closing in’ on Chelsea youngster According to a report by Football Insider, Notts County are in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Chelsea defender Ishe Samuels-Smith on loan. The 20-year-old, who spent time on loan at Swansea City last season, has reportedly attracted interest from various clubs in the English Football League. However, the Magpies have reportedly ‘moved to the front of the race for his signature’, meaning it looks as though he will soon complete a move to Meadow Lane. Capable of playing at left-back or left wing-back, Samuels-Smith will add some much-needed quality to Notts’ options on the left flank. He is highly rated at Chelsea, meaning the League One side will be hoping to get a regular tune out of him. He made eight appearances during last season’s spell at Swansea, six of which came in the Championship.
