Tatsuki Seko will reportedly join Urawa Red Diamonds in the J1 League as he leaves Stoke City. It emerged on Saturday that Stoke had accepted an offer for the 28-year-old midfielder to return to the Far East and now the Tokyo media is claiming he will go to Urawa Reds, who finished seventh last season, just missing out on qualification to the Asian Champions League.
The new J1 league season has just kicked off and Urawa Reds lost their first game 4-3 to Gamba Osaka on Friday. Seko will be playing in a 64,000-capacity stadium at a club which is hoping to win the title for the first time since 2006. They have won the Emperor's Cup twice since 2018 and won the Asian Champions League three times in the last 20 years.
Seko has played 75 times for Stoke since joining from Kawasaki Frontale two years ago. His game time might have been limited this season as Stoke overhauled their midfield department, bringing in Ethan Galbraith, Svante Ingelsson and Djibril Soumare.
Mark Robins paid tribute to Seko's professionalism as he wished him well in his next adventure and supporters have been echoing those sentiments with messages flooding in to The Sentinel.

John Clarke: Think if we are getting decent money for him then it makes sense to improve the squad. His game time was going to reduce with an overhaul of the midfield and don’t see him getting in over the three new lads Lawal and Pearson.
Still disappointed see him go, good work ethic and gets stuck in, tries get us moving and going forward. Has a mistake or three in him with his passing and has a tendency to be caught in possession or outmuscled/sized but he got better every season since we signed him in my view.
Jeff Wootten: He was a 100 per cent professional, always tried to get the ball moving forward. A bit lightweight but majority on here don't see that.
Gordon Barker: Can't fault his attitude worked hard when selected always wanted the ball tried to keep possession would have maybe looked better with a decent target man to play the ball up to. We've had a lot worse midfield players than him.
Kevin Parry: Gave 100 per cent every game he played.
James Hubbz: Just not enough but earned the fans' respect.
Bob Hamnett: Great on the ball. Hope he gets the career he deserves. Good luck!
Kelvin McCue: I really liked him. Great passer. Always wanted the ball and tried to move it forward. I'm gutted to see him going.
