Swansea manager Vitor Matos insists he has "nothing but good words to say" about Ethan Galbraith as he prepares to go up against his old midfielder this weekend. Galbraith has headlined Stoke's summer recruitment programme after completing a switch on July 1, joining fellow new boys Svante Ingelsson and Djibril Soumare in a revamped midfield. He had only spent one year in South Wales after being signed from Leyton Orient but had shown enough for Stoke sporting director Jon Walters to describe him as one of the leading midfielders in the Championship. Stoke take on Swansea in the first league game of the season and it was put to Matos that it "was a perplexing move for Swansea fans who had expected his career to lead to the Premier League". But Matos was diplomatic in his answer, saying: "I hope Gally is answering that question. I think it's normal, it happens with so many players around the world… If we all believed that happiness was in the same place, that would be tricky because we would all be going there. He is a really good kid and a really good professional who was really important for us in different phases of the season, in different roles as well." Galbraith can expect a bit of stick from the away end at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday (3pm), although probably not as much as Sam Clucas, who made the same transfer eight years ago. But Matos says there are no hard feelings from inside the club. He said: "That's football. I think every situation is different. In football and other areas, when all the parties are happy, the club buying is happy, the club selling is happy with amount of value it receives. "When the player is happy too, everyone is happy. We move on, and that's it." He added: "I'm not disappointed at all. I think when everyone is happy with the situation, we are all happy, we need to work on the future. I think that's what's most important. We cannot work based on what could have been or what was before. We need to work on what we have.
