In Forest, the Jefferson Forest offense got loose for yet another big week and its defense completed the performance with a shutout in a 49-0 win over Staunton River. JF quarterback Peyton Jackson totaled three touchdowns, two rushing and a 55-yard strike to Jack Lee, and Gabe Barnett added two more scores to his tally as the Cavaliers cruised past their Bedford County rivals. Xander Coleman opened the scoring with a 55-yard touchdown run before Barnett scored his first to put JF up 14-0 with four minutes left in the first. Jackson contributed on the next three scores to get JF (2-0) a 35-0 lead with just over six minutes to play in the second quarter.
