Moretto: Galatasaray still consider Leao 'top priority' - how Milan's stance is complicating things

AC Milan’s firm stance regarding Rafael Leao’s potential exit is making suitors a bit hesitant to advance any further, it is claimed.
The Leao situation is completely at a standstill. Milan remain firm in their position and their valuation of the winger, while the (few) interested teams do not seem inclined to accommodate the Rossoneri’s demands.

Matteo Moretto has published an update claiming that Galatasaray continue to have Leão as their top priority, but Milan are insistent on the exit conditions: they will only consider an outright permanent sale for €50-60m.
The Rossoneri, to date, are not even open to a loan with obligation to buy, as that would alter the payment terms of the transfer. Milan consider Leão transferable and on the market, but the management’s demands are putting potential buyers off.
However, Moretto goes on to add that the situation is ‘absolutely evolving’ and will likely remain open until the end of the transfer window.
It follows on from the story over the weekend which suggested that Galatasaray are willing to bide their time and even potentially wait until September in order to launch a late move for Leao. Given that Milan would need time to find a replacement, that doesn’t feel ideal.
