GdS: Inacio, exits and more - Milan’s plan as Cardinale prepares to meet Amorim

This morning, a report has suggested that Gerry Cardinale will meet Ruben Amorim this week for another AC Milan mercato summit.
The market has been quiet for Milan recently. They have ideas, but after that, there is little to nothing. Ultimately, the squad is too full for action and that makes it hard to do any business currently.

Another mercato summit
As written by Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, Cardinale is expected in Milano on Thursday to further discuss the mercato. After all, there has been no movement since his last meeting with Amorim.
The topics are clear – even if his schedule is not – he wants to discuss the incoming and outgoing players, as there are too many players in the squad. As a result, no one can arrive.
It is precisely this issue that is stopping the Rossoneri from recruiting, rather than a need for funds. Indeed, a guarantee of financial resources has been made, even without any further sales. So it’s not a case of being ‘cheap’.
Outgoings then incomings
With everyone now evaluated, Amorim should have a clear idea on the squad. Santiago Gimenez and Youssouf Fofana look likely to leave in the near future. Then, Fikayo Tomori and Pervis Estupinan can join that duo too.
Yunus Musah and Samuele Ricci can also find exits, but only one will leave. Rafael Leao remains his own topic and a move is tricky now, given his desire to stay.
In terms of arrivals, Matias Soule remains on the radar. He’s not the only option for the No.10 position, but he’s ‘worth considering’. Then, Goncalo Inacio remains the first choice at the back. Perhaps even a wing-back will be recruited, too.
There are no priorities, so to speak, but there are key ideas to watch.
