Fofana didn’t appear for a single minute of Saturday’s friendly against Chelsea like Fikayo Tomori, Zachary Athekame and Alphadjo Cissè, three others who are being linked with departures. Now, the latest from Matteo Moretto has arrived: “Milan have already communicated to Youssouf Fofana that they are finding a solution for his exit. The French midfielder is out of the project, waiting to resolve his future.” Fofana played 33 times in the league under Massimiliano Allegri last season, amassing two goals plus three assists. He was predominantly used as the right mezzala in a 3-5-2, and Amorim clearly does not believe that he can be used in the double pivot of his 3-4-2-1. It was reported last week that Milan want around €20m in order to sell Fofana, with Crystal Palace being the team that have expressed the most interest.
