U19s RACE AT KRSKO GREAT Britain have three representatives in a powerful line-up for the European Under-19 Championship Final at Krsko tonight (Saturday). British Under-21 Champion Cooper Rushen along with Will Cairns (pictured) and Luke Harrison have all qualified for the event in Slovenia, which features several of the sport’s top talents. The Polish contingent includes last season’s second and third placed finishers, Kevin Malkiewicz and Bartosz Banbor, along with 16-year-old sensation Maksymilian Pawelczak who has been handed a Wild Card place for the upcoming Grand Prix in Torun. There is further UK interest in the meeting as the Danish representatives include Workington youngster Niklas Holm Jakobsen. Elsewhere on a busy Saturday on the continent, Adam Ellis and Tom Brennan compete in the second round of the Speedway Euro Championship at German venue Gustrow, with Brennan having been called into the meeting from the reserve list. Meanwhile UK regulars Chris Harris, Jake Mulford and Darryl Ritchings along with defending champion Zach Wajtknecht race in France at Morizes in Round 2 of the FIM Long Track World Championship, with Oxford’s Erik Riss currently leading the standings.
