However, those ambitions were dashed due to Tottenham’s high demands. They are prepared to invest between €25m and €30m for the England international, but the Lilywhites value him at around €40m. Journalist claims Inter Milan could revisit a deal for Djed Spence Now, Italian journalist Daniele Mari claims that Spence’s possible move to Inter Milan is one to keep an eye on. Should Tottenham lower their financial demands, the Nerazzurri could revisit a deal. Inter Milan reportedly made first contact with the defender’s agency last month to understand how keen he is to join them this summer. Spence signed a new deal with Spurs last year until 2030, and after a strong World Cup campaign, the North Londoners have every right to demand a sizeable fee. The full-back has performed well since the second half of the 2024/25 campaign, and for a player who has just turned 26, it won’t be wrong to suggest that his best years remain ahead of him. Should the Kensington-born talent push for an exit, the Tottenham bosses could be forced to lower their asking price to help facilitate a move. Inter may first want to agree personal terms with Spence and then focus on thrashing out a fee with Tottenham. Spence already has experience playing in Serie A, playing 16 times while on loan at Genoa a few years ago. Even if it was on a short term, that experience, coupled with his versatility, game-reading sense, energy and pace, makes him an appealing option for Inter to consider late in the transfer window. As things stand, a deal for the English right-back may have to wait until closer to September 1 given Tottenham’s firm valuation. And Spence staying at White Hart Lane beyond this summer cannot be ruled out in any circumstances.
