Sanchis claims Gourlay has called the Whites to ask about the possibility of signing Ramazani on loan with an option to buy. Leeds are said to have said no to this request, with Leeds wanting a permanent sale. 49ers’ tough stance on Largie Ramazani is encouraging to see When it comes to getting rid of Ramazani this summer, a loan move with an option to buy only suits Valencia. So that is why it’s encouraging to see us push back on this request. If Ramazani has a poor season or suffers a major injury like Mateo Joseph did during his loan spell away last season, then we will be stuck with an asset who has depreciated in value, who no one will want to buy. Ramazani is a talented enough player that we should be able to find a buyer for him. The only way I’d loan Ramazani out is if it came with an obligation to buy and not an option. As the deadline approaches, hopefully more teams throw their name in the hat to try to sign Ramazani. This may give Valencia a kick up the backside when it comes to submitting an adequate bid for the Belgian. The winger averaged a goal every 208 minutes last season in La Liga (Sofascore). So you would imagine this would entice a potential suitor to take a punt on Ramazani. Selling Ramazani could help fund a move for another winger like Igor Paixao. So in an ideal world, Leeds will receive a fee for their out-of-favour winger this summer.
