Bo Nix has heard plenty of noise since entering the NFL. Somehow, that still has not changed much about the way he goes about his business. The Denver Broncos quarterback is heading into Year 3 after taking them to the AFC Championship Game last season. He’ll have more expectations on him this time around; however, Garett Bolles does not see Nix carrying himself any differently. If anything, the veteran left tackle seems convinced that the quarterback is built for whatever comes next. Garett Bolles Praises Bo Nix’s Mentality With Denver Broncos Bolles was asked about Nix after practice and did not need much time to explain what stands out about the young quarterback. For someone who has dealt with injuries, criticism and the pressure that comes with leading the Broncos, Nix has maintained the same approach from the day he arrived at the Broncos. “The dude is just ready to rock and roll. He has helped the Broncos reach the playoffs in both years, including a 14-3 regular season in 2025 before the Broncos fell to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game. Nix suffered a broken ankle in that loss and needed two offseason surgeries. That consistency is a big reason that the Broncos still believe Nix can take another jump. Denver has also made some significant changes around him. Jaylen Waddle was brought in to give the passing game another explosive weapon, while Davis Webb has taken over as offensive coordinator and will call the plays. Nix will have more to work with; however, he is also walking into a season where the bar has been raised. He was recently left off ESPN’s top 100 players for 2026, another bit of outside noise surrounding a QB who has already taken the Broncos further than many expected, and Bolles doesn’t seem particularly bothered by it. In fact, he thinks Nix might actually enjoy being overlooked. Pat Surtain II offered a similar view, pointing to Nix’s poise and his ability to bring the offense together. For a Broncos team trying to turn last year’s deep playoff run into something bigger, having a signal-caller who does not seem rattled by the attention could be just as important as anything Webb draws up.
