Ex-Leicester City star Bilal El Khannouss 'open' to £51m transfer amid sell-on windfall Bilal El Khannouss could be on the move from Stuttgart after just one year at the club Former Leicester City midfielder Bilal El Khannouss could be on the move again this summer just weeks after completing his permanent switch to VfB Stuttgart. The attacking midfielder joined the Bundesliga side on a permanent deal following a successful loan spell last season. He made 41 appearances in Germany, scoring nine goals and registering seven assists. Reports in Germany claim Stuttgart paid around €17million (£14.6m), on top of the €3m (£2.6m) loan fee they paid last year, to sign El Khannouss permanently. LeicestershireLive understands Leicester made a profit on the playmaker, who originally cost around £21million, thanks to the substantial loan fee included in the deal. However, despite only making his move to the MHPArena permanent this summer, El Khannouss' future is one to watch over the remainder of the transfer window. According to Florian Plettenberg, the former Foxes star is open to leaving Stuttgart, although the Bundesliga club would prefer to keep him. FOLLOW ON FACEBOOK! During his time at Leicester, El Khannouss made 39 appearances, scoring three goals and providing seven assists. He was one of the few bright spots in a campaign that ended with the Foxes' relegation from the Premier League. LeicestershireLive understands Leicester do have a sell-on clause in the agreement with Stuttgart, although the exact percentage is unknown. Should El Khannouss leave this summer, the Foxes would receive a financial windfall from any future sale.
