There is little time for the VfL Wolfsburg Women to catch their breath after the bitter defeat against Inter Milan. Just four days later, the Green-and-Whites face their next competitive assignment: this Sunday, 6 September (kick-off 14:00, live on MagentaSport and DAZN), the She-Wolves host SV Werder Bremen on Matchday 3 of the Google Pixel Women’s Bundesliga. For head coach Stephan Lerch’s side, it will also be their first league outing of the new season at the AOK Stadion. Bremen make perfect start to the season Werder Women travel to Wolfsburg with plenty of momentum behind them. After two matchdays, the team have a maximum six points. Bremen opened their campaign with a 2-1 victory away to promoted side 1. FSV Mainz 05 before celebrating a 2-0 home win over RB Leipzig last weekend. There was also some late movement in the squad shortly before the transfer window closed. After nine years in Bremen, former captain Lina Hausicke left the club to join 1. FC Union Berlin. Michelle Ulbrich has succeeded her as skipper. At the same time, Bremen also added to their squad, signing midfielder Jenny Hipp, who had most recently been without a club.
